Only we didn't get far.
It wouldn't start. The battery is fine, the alternator is fine, the starter is - not so fine.
Gah!!
Harrison cried. He wanted to go to church. Now I'm home all day with a Preschooler that won't nap and is whiny. Just my Luck. (Did I mention it was cold and wet outside from a light rain - not park weather. Not for me at least.)
What do you do with a Preschooler on a long cold day when you both wanted to be somewhere else? Feed him.
Better yet - have him help make not one, but two batches of Pumpkin Muffins.
From scratch.
That worked. He was in foodie-heaven.
But He still didn't nap.
Oh and if you want the recipes, there are here (for the bumpy muffin - as Harrison calls it) and here. Next time I think I'll try the recipe from Angry Chicken.
Shalom!
Your muffin looks delish! Thanks for sharing the recipe! :)

ReplyDeleteOh wait, I was going to add more. Why did I hit enter? Anyhoo...at least you can find a way to the kids heart right!
ReplyDeleteAnd....
Yummmmmy!
Well, the no nap thing is hard to cope with some days especially with crummy weather. But baking sure turned out to be a good idea. Sounds like some yummy muffins were made. :)
ReplyDeletePumpkin muffins are my favorite! I feed Francesco on cold raining days as well, hoping that food coma will set in and he takes a nap.
ReplyDeleteYou are so GOOD! I probably would have curled up with a book and Noggin for the kids or something!
ReplyDeleteThe muffins look so, SO yummy!!!!
Those look DIVINE! But no nap? OH NO, say it ain't so!
ReplyDeleteMmmm I love pumpkin muffins! I'm sorry for the lack of nap. Those are rough days.
ReplyDeleteSome days, you just won't win every battle.
ReplyDeleteBut the muffins look great.
I hope your car is working by now.
Those look amazing... yum!
