This occasion I had the camera in hand. (well, in the seat next to me and I grabbed it as I sat at the red light). what you don't see just out of the frame to the left is the crunched small pickup truck loaded on a flatbed.
Note to the lame-brains, while taking your next drivers test, when you read the question,
"When you hear the scream of an emergency vehicle what does the law require you to do?"Please, Please remember that the answer is D.
a. Speed up and get out of the way
b. Signal the driver to pass
c. Make a quick left-hand turn in front of oncoming emergency vehicle
d. Pull to the right and far as possible and STOP
D for DUH! Doh! Doot-dee-doo.
And don't even get me started on stop signs.

Funny you mention this! I saw someone do this just the other day! They were coming from the left of the firetruck, who was turning right onto the road; there is NO way this car didn't see the blaring lights! And the guy just kept going!!! The firemen were cursing and waving their hands... I couldn't believe it! The guy was just oblivious.... sigh. If it had been his loved one in trouble, I am sure he wouldn't be happy if others were doing what he was doing.
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck? I pull right over when I see an ambulance. I can't imagine trying to beat them. What if a person dies because of your impatience? It's a good thing you had the camera with you.
